Sun, 29 July 2007 Today I visited the IOOF Cemetery, to try and locate the grave of Mr Melvin Belli . I was successful in locating Mr Belli; However, I learned the tough way that my camera has a 1 Gig limit while recording video (I have a 2 Gig SD Card installed). Thankfully, the recording did not shut off until just after the golden moment where I find Mr Belli's gravesite. Woefully, the camera shut off just as I was wishing Mr Belli a Happy Birthday & thanking him for all the good things he accomplished. Oh well, I guess those words were meant to be heard only by Mr Belli. Anyhow the video will be posted in a bit (it takes time to convert a 1 Gig AVI to a managable MP4 format). Another thing that was not recorded was the fact that there was a votive candle burning, and a vase of red roses placed lovingly on the grave. Seems I was not the only visitor today. On my way out, I met the other visitors. Todays picture is of the 2 ladies I met....Mrs Melvin Belli and daughter. I'm sorry I don't recall the daughters name. We had a brief chat, I gave them my email address and web/podcast info. She seemed very pleased to see that Mr Belli had visitors other than herself. I think it meant a lot to her. I felt, for a moment, how wonderful this world of Synchronicity works. SpecialDelivery.Mark@gmail.com 1-206-333-1098 Category: general -- posted at: 6:45 PM Comments[2] |
Sat, 26 May 2007 I think I've had a stroke...I had some strange pains in my head, and then one eyelid won't open as normal. It's been like this for 3 days...and my typing is worse than normal. Dammit, I'm too young for this crap. Anyhow, hope I linked the video "The Great Global Warming Swindle" correctly. Who ended the previous Ice Ages?? Where were the SUVs back then? Thu, 3 May 2007 Mothers Day 2007 Don't forget to honor your Mother this year. The lady endured much pain to offer you into this world. She needs to be rewarded for her work dammit! As a former flower delivery guy...I suggest sending floral gifts through teleflora.com or ftd.com...and search for a local florist that will accept your credit card over the phone or via the website........avoid the 800 numbers....the 800-flowers ppl add many crazy FEES. Wed, 28 February 2007 I am SOOO glad to have electricity again. Last night, a storm blew through the Sierra Foothills dumping about 5" of wet/heavy snow at low elevations...like, where I live. I was awakened this morning to the various sounds Oak Trees make when they snap in half and crash onto the ground. I was quite afraid one of them was going to land on my house. As I lay in bed contemplating my fate, I noticed a chill in the air...the power had been off for HOURS. My only heat is electric, so I could see my breath in the chilled air of my bedroom. The cats had pinned me into position, and protested as I tried to nest deeper into my warm and cozy comforter. The phone service was also disrupted, so I could not call to see if we had deliveries for the day. I was finally able to get out of my driveway at around noon, arrived at the shop and realized that I should have stayed home warm in bed. One of the Oaks had fallen onto the "drop line" leading to the shop. Even if power is restored to the grid, it's going to take a special crew to repair the "drop line". PG&E will probably make repairing that "drop line" a low priority, due to the hundreds of breaks on the MAIN power line. So, I might be without work for a second day. This is not a bad thing, as I will be able to get some additional audio in line for you loyal listeners. However, I really hope to work tomorrow. Wed, 3 May 2006 Spring has finally sprung, so I'm finally a bit busier at work. Of course, this means that I'm slacking up a bit with the podcasts. I have some fun stuff in the works. Also, just a reminder...whomever wants the FREEKBook (Publicity:How to Get It) from my latest podcast needs to send me an email. Archerr was the first to comment about the book, but he posted that it should be sent to the next person who wants the "prize".
So, send me that email saying "I WANT THAT BOOK"..and it's all yours. The chat with Electra Raygun went well. It's being edited a bit for your proper consumption. I should have it up by this weekend. Mark

Sat, 15 April 2006 Hope everyone has a great weekend. I'm super busy with the deliveries today, so no time to record/podcast. I plan on firing up the grill tomorrows and I have some rabbit fryers marinating in the fridge. I told the neighbor kids that I'm gonna eat the Easter Bunny if he poops in my yard. Heh heh heh.
So, as us homebrewers like to say...Have a Hoppy Yeaster!!!

Wed, 5 April 2006 Hey there peeps. I forgot to load my flash-drive with the mp3 for SDR49.5(part2), sorry . This means I cannot post the show until tomorrow. Whoops. Part 2 contains the BART audio, and audio of me standing on the street corner (feeling like a whore) waiting for Corkey to come pick me up. Also, we have a little snippet with Zilla and Corkey talking about a person they both know. Zilla was freaked out. Then I talk about the Hostel Situation and why I bailed out of town after Zilla and I got totally wet while GeoCaching for a cache called "Dolores Park And Bark" (waypoint GCH49B).
Part 3 to follow. Well, audio for Part 2 will follow, then Part 3.

Sat, 1 April 2006 Hey everyone, I'm off to SanFrancsisco to meetup with Zilla and Corkey & Duncan! Happy Birthday Zilla!! I'm excited about this adventure, 'cause I have not been to SF since a Gary Numan concert in 1998 (at the Fillmore). I found some decent lodging, which you'll hear about early next week. I have never stayed at a Hostel Dorm before, so this should be interesting. I'm still working on SDR50, so SDR51 will probably be posted before Episode 50....I know it's confusing...but when you're a multi-dimensional spirit, ya just have to be flexible with your concepts of "time".
Whoops, I ate the damn special brownies I made for Zilla...oh well. I'm gonna enjoy some music, and the wonderful sunshine that we're getting today..FINALLY...I have not seen blue sky for 2-3 weeks!
Huggs to all my wonderful and supportive listeners. Thanks for taking a moment to feel the warm and fuzzy thoughts I'm sending out to y'all. Unless you're an asshole, in which case I'm sending you some itching and burning for your attitude.

Sat, 4 March 2006 Hey peeps! It snowed Saturday here at the low elevation where I live. I guess it was just too much for SBC to handle, my DSL service is broken! So....I will be unable to post on a regular basis. With the help of a good friend, I do have access to upload on his computer...but it's gonna be sporadic.
In the really cool good news, I received a podcast review by Tigger, on the PizzaBabe Goes Global Podcast. Thanks Tiggr! I also received a fabulous Blackberry Cassis candle from Mike at Soycandlesbyphebes.com. Thanks Ms Hipps!! I'll give you my impressions in the next podcast.
I plan on having a show posted on Sunday. Of course, it will be weird, as usual.
Thanks for listening, emailing, and supporting this crazy little deliveryboy.
PS:I'm asking my doctor to change my sleeping-pill meds. I've been wayyyyy tooooo weird at the dosage he prescribed. It's almost like it creates an alternate personality, and it's one that I do not like. I'm afraid to open my emails in the morning...I never know what drama and craziness I got myself into the night before.
Ok enough rambling for now...DialUp SUCKS ASS!!

Just here trying to be everything to everybody. Use me, abuse me....but it's all about the music dammit!!! And Green Trees, who need protection...As brown ooze cums up in the streets of LA, I promise to maintain a green sanctuary up here in the protected forest green worlds. I'm so freeky. Thank you. Tigger, you rock.

Thu, 4 August 2005 Today was my sister's birthday. Yesterday was my Brother's birthday. I love them, even though we are seperated by distance. I wish I could visit my sister more, 'cause she is cool and has a lot to teach me. She is the only one in the generation to have kids, although my brother might have some kids that are credited to others. Anyhow, just wanted to let you ppl know that I DO have family...just not a close-nested family. To any family that sees this...know that I love you, and am Soooo grateful to know you. Thank you for being who you are, and allowing me to be who I AM.

Wed, 13 July 2005 Just a drunk experiment. Playing a tune with RealPlayer, and another with Deliplayer2 (which plays Commodore Amiga MODS/MEDS/XM) at the same time with no mixer no fancy crap. Amazing that I can get two music players playing at the same time on my crappy old computer, and no external mixer to blend the sounds.

Fri, 27 May 2005 I'm just getting started. I'm a delivery boy who happens to work in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California. Memorial Day is coming, which means I'll have to deal with the cracked-out wackos who come up here "en-masse" to escape the crowded traffic in the Bay Area (SF/Oakland) and do nothing but bring the insanity along. Joy to them. Hope they find the serenity they search for up here....but, I ask only one small favor....don't blame the locals for driving too slow, or get impatient because someone is actually HAND WRITING a check at the supermarket in front of you....ARGH!!!
